Free Books for OK Libraries
Hey, guys! My dad sent me this email. VOTE to help Oklahoma libraries get free books!
Greetings from the Literacy Office.
The 2009 First Book contest started on August 1 and Oklahoma is in 14th place. Unlike last year, you can only vote one time a day and there are no trivia questions!
All you have to do is list the book that “got you hooked”.
Can we win 50,000 books for Oklahoma children? Only time will tell.
Please take a moment to visit the following site and cast your vote.

In order to get the “Oklahoma momentum” going, please pass this information to anyone who will participate.
Have a great day.

Blog Merge!
Hey, guys! I have merged my old blogsite (formerly StephenBiller.com) with this site. The new StephenBiller.com will be more like a website, less like a blog and will be unveiled around the time my new book comes out. (BTW: I have finished the book, and it is now with the publishers for editing! I am so excited! Read a previous post about the new book here.)
Hope you all are staying cool in this ridiculous heat!!! Drink lots of cold things…especially water. : D

Michael Jackson’s Daughter Paris
From what I understand, this was an impromptu, unplanned appearance by the late King of Pop’s daughter at his memorial service earlier this week. It is absolutely heart wrenching, and puts his life in the right perspective.
BTW: Pics and stuff from my vacation coming soon!

Miley Cyrus?

- If she’s going for the Taylor Swift look…FAIL!
Okay…this is kind of random! : D But don’t you think the girl on the right looks a lot like Miley Cyrus with a blond perm? This pic was being used as an ad for digital cams, and I snagged it to see what you all thought!

Jazzed Up Can ‘O Soup
This isn't my soup...but it looks good too!
A bowl of soup sounded good the other day. However, the plain old chicken and noodles that came out of the can just didn’t look that appetizing… So, I started to prowl through my cupboards and fridge.
There was some steamed brown rice left-over from dinner the night before, and this, together with sliced carrots, made for a delicious, hearty bowl of soup. It also went much farther than the simple canned soup by itself would have.
Don’t be afraid to experiment! : )
